He wrote there was a much lower reserve than $1800.- so I would think somewhere between $1200.- and $1500.- but no: $500.-! What a lousy price protection! He refused even to consider BIN. His only comment was "Bid to win". So they bid, he lost... At least, that's how it looks... But as you said, it's a new seller with no history, but he's an Ebay member since 1999. I don't know what to think about this. It is too stupid to be true. For what reasons someone would set a reserve... at 41% of the real value? I can think of a few reasons: - the serial number F830556 could be photographed from another guitar (scam) and the guitar could be hot. - the guitar could have a hidden flaw: a headstock repair or a twisted neck. - the seller needs $500.- very quickly and really has no other option... For the buyer, I hope the real reason is the last one (but then he would have accepted the BIN option). BTW: is an "Excellent playing guitar" the same as an "Excellently playing guitar"? I guess not. I know... suspicious as always. Ginger |

I was watching this one also, expected it to shoot through the roof. I was leery also about the 0 feedback. Also no paypal, money orders only but was going to take a shot if it stayed cheap. I was working in the yard and missed the end by 5 minutes. Oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Rick |
