I need a switch for a 1989 GB30. The above part looks like it but I'm afraid the original switch cap won't fit. The Korean AS80's have a much smaller threaded part to accept the cap. The Am50, Am300 have the larger type. I think the above part # is the smaller type. Anyone know? Thanks Mike |

Wrap the shaft of the switch with that thin white plumbers teflon tape and the bigger cap with 'thread' onto it just fine.....if I understand your question correctly it worked for me just fine. |

Thanks for the info. I bought an 'asian' switch from "Guitar Resources" on line. It was the same shape and size as the Ibanez but the threaded portion is smaller and shorter so your idea won't work on this switch. Anyway I have a bad (intermittent) black Super 58. Off to Lindy Fralin it goes for repair or rewind. |
