I know, it looks like sh.., but you'll be surprised at the 22nd. The problem with this one is: what do you do with it? You may not refinish it..., but when I see this my hands are itching! I guess Dave_G has some ideas about how this baby can be rescued in the best possible manner. This won't be a pleasure for the left hand if you leave it this way. What to do? I think some of the relic on this guitar is intentional-look at the pickguard...how does a plastic pickguard get to look like that, and why not just wipe the crud off? I think the seller is down playing this plank and will get top $ for it in the end. The '61 Custom is THE HOLY GRAIL of SG's. You will not find a better sounding pure rock machine anywhere ! Ricky Medlocke (formally of Blackfoot, now Skynyrd)has one that he has played the •••• out of... Look to see a TON of action on this one late in the game as bidders think that this is a sleeper auction.
