Just picked this up today. Had to for the low price and playability. I'm trying to determine the exact model. Looks to me like an M-??. Year?? The serial nuber is 1C010109583. I've never seen a DeArmond in this color. It's a creamy orange color. The photos almost get it but not quite. Also wondering if 'mindbender' is original. Any help is appreciated. Thanks -Jeff- http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b199/sydsmomma24 /DeArmond/101_1909.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b199/sydsmomma24 /DeArmond/101_1912.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b199/sydsmomma24 /DeArmond/101_1913.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b199/sydsmomma24 /DeArmond/101_1915.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b199/sydsmomma24 /DeArmond/101_1916.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b199/sydsmomma24 /DeArmond/101_1917.jpg |

Jeff, that guitar looks to be an m77 dating from 2001-2002.I'm guessing that m77 stands for mindbender 77.What was the price you paid because if you paid over $300 then you got ripped off. |

I gave $225 USD. This about the most I would give for a solid body DeArmond. I've played 8 or 9 guitars very similar to it and this one plays way better and is in much better shape than ANY of the others. |

That "Mind BENDER" is that similar to the "B bender"? BTW, I think that it's a gotspe that Fender dared to rebaptize DeArmond models "Squier". Certainly on the old cherry red jazz boxes that ugly S-tailpiece does NOT contribute to the desirability of the guitars. It's tasteless. Ginger |

Gem- I'm not sure. Is the 'B bender' a DeArmond also? and what's a "gotspe"? |

Mortatort, the B bender was invented by Clarence White and Gene Parsons in the 60s to act as a ''Third hand''for country guitar styles.Fender now markets the B bender on some telecasters. |
