http://www.ibanez.ru/ Found this whilst surfing. I did a quick check and it doesn't seem to have been mentioned here before so I thought I'd pass it on. Not sure if any of this info is new or just lifted from other sites. Text is in Russian but a translator program might make turn it into legible English. It has a specific page on Ibanez history at; http://www.guitars.ru/01/info.php?z695 There's an intersting photo of the 'proud craftsmen'(c. 1980) that may have built some of the guitars now owned by ICW members. Very interesting. There is a picture of two 2020 model guitars. The one on the left features the Teisco "checkmark" headstock. A definite link there for 60's guitars. I just picked up the model 2030 bass version. I don't suppose anyone has a spare bridge cover for it lying around? (Not holding breath.) Here's a closeup of the catalog scan for the bridge: -Chuck |
