http://stores.ebay.com/Bronzeville-Gifts-and-Novel ty-Store I know, not really news, is it? But he's got several of the paylessguitars.com guitars and is offering them as Gibsons. I ran across them because he's offering two as Ibanezes. How dare he! I'm in the process of reporting him to eBay right now. Anybody got a Gibson email address I can cc? -Chuck |

Apparently I was. I got on live chat with an eBay rep, sent him the auction links AND links to the exact pages on the paylessguitars.com site with the same guitars. Maybe I was just feeling ornery last night, or maybe it was because they tried to pawn a couple of them off as Ibanezes. -Chuck |

Chuck...All the auctions are still up, seller has removed every reference to Gibson in the auctions.....I don't think these auctions are now in violation of any of EBays rules cause he is not mentioning the brands although the pictures show a very clear Gibson logo. BTW anyone who would purchase these as genuine gibsons needs new glasses, the headstock shape is not even close to the real thing.... |

His original ads said something like, "Willing to make a deal for dedicated guitarists", as if the $800 he was asking for the Gibson was too much. The ad for the flower LP even had a certificate of authenticity, for god's sake. As I said, had he not used the "Ibanez" word, I never would have bothered. I can't see how eBay even lets him put them back up. Maybe I should send an email to Gibson USA? -Chuck |
