Hi Guys I have an ar300 reissue that i ripped the super 58's out of because to me they sounded to generic and flat. These where wax potted and marked SP-58-F / R. I have played the AR3000 reissue though and are wondering if the pickups in the link below are from the AR3000 guitar?? (not the same looking as the one i took out of the AR300). The AR3000 sounded great to my ears and if these are those pickups ill grab them...much cheaper than the seth lovers ive been looking at! cheers adam http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-Ibanez-S-58-Humbuckers-Go ld-cover-Pickups-New_W0QQitemZ200169046806QQihZ010 QQcategoryZ22670QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewI tem |

I guess these on eBay are made in China for current AR300, not those made in Japan that AR3000 had. Juha |

All golden Super 58's covers look similar (in pictures). It is the bottom plate where the markings are. I guess it is hard to find pickups taken from AR3000 because owners probably like the guitar as is. It could be better to ask your local Ibanez dealer to order them from Hoshino. You would get MIJ Super 58s made for the newest AR3000. Then there is the question about different guitars, AR3000 vs AR300, different electronics on them, etc, different amps used, different playing rooms ... Juha |
