This is a big day for me (and it's not even the day I got the Artwood). Today an Artist 2630 arrived for me, allowing me to reach my "holy grail" of Ibanez collecting goals: The restoration of my original set of three Ibanez guitars, the first three electrics I ever bought, played and loved. I bought a Rocket Roll Sr (2387CT) first, circa 1977. I followed that with an Artist 2630 in early 1979. I traded away the V when I bought my Musician MC400NT later in 1979. I regretted trading away the V almost immediately. Circa 1980, I sold the 2630 back to the store I bought it from because I needed cash. If I remember, I got $250 for it, and again, I've regretted it ever since. Thankfully, I kept the Musician through the years, using it for fun and profit over the years. Earlier this year, when I decided to start actively collecting guitars, it formed the nucleus of my collection. I soon found this website, and it has been a godsend. I've learned more about guitars, and Ibanez's in particular, than I could have anywhere. When I finally had the opportunity to buy the 2387CT (one of the "crazy train" guitars) and now the 2630, I knew what to look for in terms of value and quality. So, enough words. Here is the "restored" collection:

I don't mean to minimize the importance of the Artwood to my collection, it's also a godsend. But that's "above and beyond". The goal from the beginning has always been to restore the triplet. I've done it. Thank you all. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I love the 2630, looks like real nice flames on that specimen!! Nice collection you got there!

I´m trying to complete (will never happen, you always find a new need) my collection with an as200 and a 60:s tele. I think the hunt is half the thing with the collecting activity!

Yes, the hunt!

Here's a page I just put up with the majority of my Ibby collection (plus a couple others):
