I have a chance to get a EA-250,(335 copy with Bigsby style)made in Japan.I'd say early to mid 70's.It needs a nut and a set up so I'd be buying it unplayed but it seems like a decent guitar.Does anybody here have experience with these older Japanese Epiphones?Opinions?Thanks,...Chris

Chris, I have a couple of the Scroll (SC-400)...Excellent fit and finish..I found the pups to be a bit enemic so I traded 'em out for Super 70's

I have a '61 CrestWood which is American which is an excellent. I knew a player years back who played a 70's Japanese CrestWood model years ago and it sounded great, he was a monster player and liked this guitar best... I never encountered the 335 style, but they are generally very good instruments

Well,I ended up with it.I found out it's 1970-72 Matsumoku built.Since the last time I saw it they put in a precut nut so I need to take it down a little and shape it before I can set it up but it seems decent enough.Really clean, probably never left the bedroom.I look forward to setting it up and seeing what she's made of.
