I've heard good things about the El Diablo series. Looks like a very versatile tube amp. Has any one had experience with these? I'm going to try one out when I get a little free time. http://www.genzbenz.com/ -Sven |

I have a TubeWorks that the same company made but discontinued the line. It is a hand made amp and it kicks! I have never tried the Genzbenz. |

I spent an hour or so with the Genz Benz Diablo 60W head and 2-12 cab yesterday and I thought it was great. This is one flexible machine. There are 2 channels, and several modifiers: Classic or High Gain Switch; Dynamic or Compressed Tube Texture Switch; Gain & Volume Preamp Controls; Tube Contour Control. The active tone controls have a massive +/- 15db boost, so you can pretty much make an L5 sound like a strat, or vice versa. I was able to coax very nice warm jazz, compressed singing overdrive, high gain modern rock, and classic crunch tones out of this versatile all tube amp. -Sven |
