Santa (well, my wife, actually) gave me a Line 6 TonePort for xmas. So far I'm liking it. The overall sound quality and ease of use are excellent. After an hour or 2 experimenting, I've come up with some usable guitar and bass tones, and made a recording. My only complaint is some loud popping and crackling coming from the headphone out. -Sven |

Sven, Santa (Yeah, my wife too) bought me a toneport as well. I'm waiting for delivery of my new PC to install and try out. I can load it on my laptop but it only has 512 MB of RAM...not sure if that's enough. Question...is the toneport software easy enough to remove once it's installed? If so I may give it a whirl on my laptop and see how it goes. Thanks and enjoy. |

Agr, There should be no problem having it installed on both machines. There would be no reason to remove it from the laptop once you get your PC. -Sven |

Sven, Sounds like that loud popping is a common thing out of the headphones...I'm getting it too. Have you come up with any fix? I'm going to tinker around with some of the Line6 recommendations but it sounds like a bug to me. Other than that, pretty easy unit to use...so far... |
