Check out these guitars from Agile. Amazingly, they sell for $200-300. The designer definitely knows what will grab the attention of a guitar. They are fairly well equipped in terms of hardware and quality (grover tuners & alnico pickups on some) Every time I look at these, I have to fight the urge to buy one. But it's tempting to do it just for the eye candy.

Agile is the house brand for Rondo music in New Jersey...they have been hawking them on EBay for several years. Typical Koren build-need to be completely gutted (low buget harness, pots and PUPS)frets leveled, dressed and ends filed (very sharp ends for some reason) . I've played 20 or so different Agiles and the quality is all over the place-rough frets, poorly finished boards etc. These gits are the equivilent of an Epi and -with a little work- make a fine looking student guitar. Some of the Agiles look like very early Ibanez models. Can't beat the price though! |
