I've seen that snake before but I think it was sold as a J Turser prototype by Sanatoga on EBay...Check out this one I just snagged...Interesting and-according to the seller-inspired by Doug Rowells work (I own two of Dougs designs)....

Dave, Your Paula is far more beautiful than the "protos" on Ebay. I can't figure out what's so beautiful about a mermaid with pickup in one breast. I like a more consistent design like your guitar. The ebay snake looks more consistent but a bit vulnerable. I wonder how it plays. I guess a snake Paula feels like a Paula. I remember an original Aria Pro II strat model with dragon carving, I should have bought then, and it felt like an (Aria) strat. But what to think about so much air and so little wood? It must feel very strange... Ginger Ale |

I was looking for the Aria dragon strat, but found something else. Not vintage but recent: http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Dragon-Stratocaster-Strat_W0QQitemZ7421662030QQihZ016 QQcategoryZ38082QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

Nice Dave, very nice... Freak, Don't be so serious... Just like the expression "Sorry, I have to take a leak", in Dutch we say: "Pardon, ik moet even mijn zwager een hand geven", which means: "Sorry, I have to shake me brother-in-law's hand" There are a lot of brother-in-law and mother-in-law jokes in Holland. So now you know where I was before I read your message... |

Allmost made my heart skip a couple of beats..... Pity the headstock doesn´t say "Ibanez"...would have been a perfect match with my carved Ibanez with botanical figures..... Harry |

Some years ago, this one was ƒ650.- second hand and in a better condition at Mary Holland's. Harry, the botanical figures are giant Sequoia cones. We have one here at the castle's park. The baron had a predilection for special trees. Now the people here use these beautiful cones to make Christmas bouquets. They're sold for charitable causes. A really special tree for Holland... I wonder what inspired the person to create the wang guitar?I just cant see my self sitting on the couch at Thanksgiving playing for family and friends, w/ a big wang in my hands. They say the guitar represents a phalic symbol,maybe- but ill stick to the desguised version thank you ! |
