Hi all Just logged in on Ebay USA and I think now it's time somebody is gonna shoot some Chinese fake-Ibanez sellers. My God!!!!! now they are polluting Ebay not only with "some" advertisings, but with pages full of advertisings in one time. This can't be, can it?? Harry |

You saw it with your own eyes! IbanezFreak1960 wrote that he already signed out! But each rare vintage Ibanez we sell to China, can be used just for the specs. Remember that under Mao they didn't buy capitalist instruments. If we provide them with the originals, they can replicate the replicas and the custom agents etc at very low cost. If they don't have exact specs they make mistakes. We've already seen fake GB10 "prototypes" with pots on the wrong places and an odd shaped cutaway. But if we provide them with originals, we'll just have to wait a little while for the first fake 2675s to be offered. (Perhaps I'd even buy one then, since I can't afford the real one. That is if it's in the shop as an official Chinese Ibanez reissue of course, not from the web). I bet they could make an Artwood Dragon strat for you too, Harry! You and I saw the Chinese people in Holland taking over the position of the Turks in the fastfood restautants. And that is because of their excellent working mentality. They took it over when the Turks gave up. They are satisfied with so little, and they work so hard for it. I admire them for that. But selling a fake guitar for the real McCoy is something I can't appreciate. I'm afraid the only protection against these counterfeits is keeping the originals in the countries where they were originally sold. I tried to make this clear before, but almost got "cyberlynched" for discriminating "the" Chinese. But I see no other solution, or we must accept that every valuable vintage Ibanez guitar will be "reissued" without authorisation. |

About 5 months ago, I started filtering my Ibanez search for US auctions only. I know I might miss out on the occasional non-US deal, but all those friggin' chinese auctions were getting really annoying. |

Take a look at this one. He claims to be in the UK and he has put about 20 items on claiming to be Ibanaez: http://www.qksrv.net/click-1802666-10381315?loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI .dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D250012185944 Then read the text and check out his feedback! lol It would be funny once but it's just becoming a nuisence. |
