1960-61 Gibson Pickup PAT?

Here, I have learned a lot and really trust what I read. So, does anybody know about these? What's the difference between them and early PAF's? How about the value? I was offered one.... How would you compare with 50's P90s? Any information will be very welcome. The way I read the articles on the 1961 PAFs with the shorter Alnico 5 magnets, they are of a more consistent quality, but less warm than the older ones. Quote: "Lindy stated that the 1961-1963 PAF and the 1963-1975 patent number decal pickups are very consistent in sound and resistance at 7.5 K ohms nominally. They have the smaller Alnico 5 magnet and some have different bobbin wire. They sound different when compared to early PAFs with more high-end and less warmth, especially in the mid-range." Both black bobbins. They are truly nice pickups, smooth as silk. The one offered to you. Is it a short or long magnet PAF? (Some buffs prefer the long a over the short). Does it have a cover? Had lots of later model Gibson patent pickups. All with shorter magnets some from early 60's and later models. They all sounded nice too. As long as you test the pickup on a meter and like the sound of it thats all that matters.
