In over 200 ebay transactions, I've had stuff turn up from just about every US shipper both in the UK and here in Australia without any problems. Some people have had bad experiences with all the major shippers. Fedex, UPS are expensive depending on the item. USPS are reasonable but you are limited on dimensions and weight. Usually okay with guitars though. If you're gonna pack a guitar yourself then you must double box. It will cost the buyer more but the 'peace-of-mind is worth the extra few bucks rather than the piece-of-mind you will get from the buyer if it turns up in bits. You're probably looking at $150 US+ with USPS for a guitar and about $200 + with one of the other big players to get it to Oz. Check out 'Pappysmusic' on ebay as they often quote worldwide shipping costs. That will give you an idea. six |

USPS is probably the best way to go simply because of the cost factor, but what sort of guitar weighs 25lbs? Size might restrict your options. A standard guitar case will get through the post ok, but a bass is often outsize post limits. Six, I hope your wearing the green and gold zinc cream in front of the tele when the crickets on ol' mate. |

I was queing in the bank and watched Pontin on his way to that near double century. Couldn't shift the bugger could they. As for customs and import duty. It costs a fortune so the buyer may want you to help him out a bit. six |

Alorenger, since the FTA was signed between Australia and the US, goods to less than the value of Aud$1000 will be exempt from duty & GST (Goods & Service Tax) Currently GST is levied at 10% Your buyer *may* find that duty and GST are waived even if the guitar exceeds Aud$1000. The best thing is for the buyer to contact HM Customs in Australia, they are quite helpful in these situations. www.customs.gov.au |
