Ahhh.. the year is almost over. What is the best Ibanez guitar you picked up this year? One model per person, please. Focus on the best of the best you bought this past year. And please say a bit about why it is the best you got in '06. |

 It's taken until this thread for me to realise I have not acquired one Ibanez all year! I guess there's still 18 days left, but it's not looking likely. I did however grab a Profile Strat very early in the year, these were made in the Fuji Gen Gakki plant in the early 80s, so that's gonna have to be close enough for me. |

I guess ill chime in and say my RG 320DX.I bought it w/ EMGz(81s) installed from previous owner.All i can say is this guitar is perfect for my style(Rock& some older Metal)It has some fret buzz,but i cant really notice it while i have the compression cranked/drive/distortion.As much as i love my Fender Strat,the RG 320DXs neck was made to beat on(I baby my strat.)The RG is built like a tank,and begs abuse.I recommend the 320DX to any metal head or rock head,that is looking for a great guitar! |

Mine is the AS103NT. It is the only one I bought for myself this year and it was a great deal and a really nice guitar for the money. I haven't played it much but everytime I do I love it. |

'JSM100' Scofield was delivered early in January '06.
What a way to start off the new year! I've been in total awe of this incredible axe ever since.

My best is a ī77, 2680, all original and in real good shape.
Payed $625, the only thing was that the bridge had pitted real bad, i bought a new bridge and the guitar looks like new!
My friend offered me $1500 after playing it a couple of times but i refuse to sell it. They donīt make this kind of instruments these days, itīs a keeper!!

i nabbed my af105f this last summer new for $550 plus $30 shipping. would like to add the as103, but maybe next year. |

Yes, this year. Used but in very nice shape and with push/pull coil taps for both pups! I need to post pics of the control cavity.

I got 4 this year:
4. EDB-400 Ergodyne bass - Nice bass, just sold it.
3. EDC-705 Ergodyne 5-string bass - Nicer bass but I'm still getting used to that damned B-string being there.
2. 2451nt/L6S copy - a renewed love affair with an old flame. (Thanks DaveG)
And the winner is... The EP9 acoustic... It just sounds sooooooo sweet!

I am curently obsessing on a recent aquisition of a Ghostrider.....One of Ibanez's more moderately priced offerings , the twin P-90's just sound great and the compact size is just appealing to me-its a joy to play and sounds great ! Ugly friggin green and with the Koren scarf joint in the neck, but its still a very cool git and my current obsession-got it real cheap too! |

Freak, Yea , the only reason I bought it was that it was less than $250 and included the case. The guitar, abeit fugly, is in near mint condition....Methinks its a keeper ! |
