Bob, I always use Maguires Wet Look polish on my Ibanez collection. It's clear coat safe and keeps them looking mint condition. When I have had customers bring guitars for setups etc and they are covered in sweat etc,I use the Maguires Cleaner wax first then the Wet Look polish to finish off with. Captain Ibanez |

I did as search for these products (Maguires) in The Netherlands but couldn't find them. Is there a brand which does the same "magic", Turtle Wax comes to mind , but i'mn't sure if its save to use on my guitars...its available overhere. |

Pat, That's because it's spelled "MEGUIRE'S". Their stuff is in the Fender Guitar Care Kit now. (I saw the kit for €52,- at Feedback but they didn't mention Meguire's, but I saw the Meguire's ad in the Fender catalogue). I might pay some extra money, because two brands are involved. One of my friends/luthiers uses COMMANDANT. If you are restoring havy finish damage you can use nr. 4. For light scratches you better use nr. 5. If you want to use Turtle Wax, you better take the Metallic version (the blue bottle), which is even safer. For maintenance I use Martin guitar polish. Ginger |

Guys, Your spelling is way off. It is spelled "Meguiars". Go to www.meguiars.com I've been using their products on my cars and guitars for 20 years. Its the best stuff I have ever used. Hmmmm, cars, guitars, I wonder if any wimmen would improve their lustre with a good Meguiars buff job too?? Cheers, Mark |

I knew they were spelled with an 'e' so I just tried Google for "Meguire's. We're not the only ones misspelling their name... OK, here are some Fender/Meguiar's sets: http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=4771582 and http://www.activemusician.com/item--EM.099-0508-000 and http://www.zzounds.com/item--FENA990508000 and http://www.music123.com/Fender-Ultimate-Guitar-Care-Collection-by-Meguiar's-i148 691.music and http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-Ultimate-Guitar-Care-Collection-by -Meguiars?sku=420859&src=3SOSWXXA Ginger |
