Ok.. Do you guys have any suggestions for trying to reduce Hum and radio interference??? I find it's worse in my living room.. It does make a difference when Im somewhere's else.. But It's really annoying! Any tricks to the trade.. (not using different power outlets ect...) Any help would be appreciated!

This question sounds familiar....

Let me guess - while using single coil or out-of-phase? What axe??

I have that issue using single coils with one guitar but not nearly as much or not at all with other single coil guitars. Some folks will tell you that there's not much that can be done. I've been looking at different insulation & grounding methods. This site talks about shielding the cavity, eliminating ground loops and other methods:

From what I can tell, vintage Ibanez guitars have ground loops, however, I don't know if the recommended techniques for eliminating them will help.

Living room?

The reason for the hum may be TV, stereo and other electric devices that are on. These devices cause electromagnetic fields. My little practise amp (solid state) has extra distortion in its gain channel if the TV is on.

As I've explained to MK many times (and I think he might finally be a believer: RHOESTATS! Dimmers on lights anywhere in your house will ne a major contributor to this. The guitar has a hieghtend sensitivity to this when in those coil configs you mention.

I'm sure that this is not the only contributor and I've never picked up RF because of it.
