Hey guys: I'm trying to make a searchable database out the '77 Price List found on the Vintage Ibanez site. But there are some models listed that I don't see any description of. Anybody heard or seen these models? 2406 Double Neck, 6/6, Walnut/Cherry $475.00 2406W Double Neck, 6/6, White $495.00 2650 Deluxe Model Solid $495.00 2650CS Deluxe Model Solid CS $495.00 2651 Solid Body Standard Model $450.00 2651BS/CW Solid Body Standard Model $465.00 Are these replicas or original designs (what series). If replicas, what model, LP, SG, Strat? Thanks in avance. |

John, the models 2650,2650cs,2651,2651bs/cw are all Les Paul models from the copy series. The were made with carved curly maple tops & solid mahogany backs. 2650+2650cs had gold hardware & 2651+2651bs &2651cw had chrome hardware, BS= tobacco brown sunburst, CW= cherry wine finishes.I have them in my archives here, I would imagine they would have been available world wide. John: With regards to the other guitars you have on the top of the list,I can only suggest that they are the SG twin necks. However, they are listed in my archives as MODEL # 2402,2402WH.This is the 6/12 string model availible in cherry or whiteI have never seen a white one here in Australia, plenty of cherry coloured one's.)& MODEL # 2404,2404WH.This is the 4 string bass/ 6 string guitar model availible in cherry or white ( have seen the white one ). They were made from figured birch tops with mahogany bodies, necks were laminated birch.2402 had chrome hardware & 2404 had gold hardware.I think that where the confusion is, cause I have no record of those numbers (2406+2406w)in my archives. Keep On Rockin' Cameron |
