An interesting website here for a repair shop in NY state. www.guitarspecialist.com This husband/wife shop did repairs for such notable ibanez users as John Scofield and John Abercrombie. There are photos of repairs done on Sco's AS 200 and a custom George Benson (John's has a tremelo!). Also some photos of John Abercrombie's flame top Artist. If I were to take my AS 200 to any repair shop, it would be this one. |

John: Great site! I was wondering if the guitar that John Scofield had repaired was his "oringinal" AS200. Sure enough, one of the shots (the first that shows the soldering of the pots) clearly shows the removed jack plate that covers the damage to the top around the jack plug. The site also says that the AS200 will be reissued as the "Scofield model", with some redesigning to meet John's specs. I wonder what will change? Can't wait to see. |

Very cool site. Thanks John K. Maybe the Ibanez "Scofield" will come with a metal jack repair plate already installed. |

Seth: Yeah that would work. Do you think they'd damage the wood underneath, for that "Vintage Scofield vibe? J Or they could move the jack to the side. More out of the way there, I'd think. JohnS |

It might have the special "pre-de-laminated top" and a special book of insider Miles anecdotes... Regards, Peter |
