I'm looking into ditching my Alesis SR-16 drum machine (any takers? $200) and buying a drum machine/sequencer. Could I have some input as to what I should look for? I've been checking out the Boss DR-5.

I guess nobody was interested in sequencers way back when.
Two of my friends have sequencers. One's a pro who gigs, his setup is more complicated. I was totally blown away by what my other friend was able to do with his pint-sized Yamaha QY70.
On my friend's recommendation I started looking at the QY100. It got some very good reader reviews. So, my wife graciously allowed me to order one. (Tip: trade your anniversary presents in for guitar gear.) So, I plunked down the "virtual cash" at Musician's Friend and hopefully it will be here on Friday.
