Hi all!
There was this European (I think Swiss) guy that had a really beautiful site about Ibanez. (The opening screen showed a nice pair of Korina copies). Lots of information and beauiful pics of the old '70s copies. My server can't find him no more. I also checked several search-engines but everything in vain. Anybody knows where he has gone?

This is a must visit site for anyone collecting old replicas. There are guitars here I've never seen or heard of. The 74 and 76 catalogs were eye openers for the depth of models in the LP, SG and other copies series. And they also document the start of the Artist lines. |

That is one incredible sight, boy some work has gone into that.How about some of those guitars, like that Les Paul Special.
Confirmed what I suspected about the fingerboard in my '78 PF400 being ebonised rosewood.
I thought the U in V headstock logo was on later 70's model than was shown.
I would love to know what the exchange rate was between the DM and the Yen during 74 and 76.I know the exchange rate of the Yen to the Aussie dollar in the seventies.I think this along with average wages of the period would help my perspective of these prices.
I certainly know the exchange rate of the Aussie dollar and the yen today.That's why so few high end models make it out here now.I also wish I could sprechenze Deutsch. |
