Hello All, I've been plugging a straight 1/4" connector into my guitars for a while now. However, two of my semi-hollow Ibanezes have finish cracking around the input jack, and I was wondering if using a right angle connector might help prevent further damage. My favorite cable only seems to come in the straight-straight configuration, but I'm open to any opinions and/or suggestions. Thanks, Seth |

Seth, You should thread your cable through your strap near the end pin before plugging it into the jack. This will support the weight of the cable rather than the jack having to carry the load. If you are not using a strap because you play seated, I'd suggest changing the plug to a right angle. It's very easy to do yourself. Regards, Mark |
