I was watching the re-runs of the 'Old Grey Whistle Test' in the UK last night, trying to spot what guitars were popular in the 70's and early 80's and lo-and-behold, there was Adam Clayton of U2 playing I Will Follow in 1981, on an Ibanez Musician EQ bass! Mind you, he probably couldn't afford Fenders & Gibsons back then.
