l have a GB 10 that feeds back uncontrollablely whenever I play an "A note" at moderate volume Does anyone know what's going on? I'm definitely not a loud player. The guitar suits me perfectly otherwise. |

Garry: Is that an open A or any A on the fretboard? |

John, It happens on all "A's" but more prominently at the fifth and twelfth frets |

Garry: I'll check my GB10 tonight, but I'm sure I won't find that it's a common problem. The first thing I would suspect is the electronics, but if that's not it then... I have heard of a symptom called sympathetic resonance. Sometimes a "structure" just naturally vibrates at a certain frequency and sets up a feedback wave. A hollow body guitar is supposed to have all this worked out. I'd take it to a luthier and have it looked at. Is this a new guitar, used, how long have you had it and has it always had this problem? |
