Gibson used a bridgepiece on SG´s for example during the 70´s that looked very similar to the Harmonomatic bridge.

Anyone know if it can be used as a "spare" on Ibanez guitars fitted with Harmonomatics??

Thought about this the other day, since old Ibanez replacement parts are relatively hard to come by.

Well, no cardboard is worth $45 USD for me... :)

Spiro, I looked at the Gotoh website but I couldnt find the bridge pictured above though...

What do they call their "Harmonomatic"?

the cardboard is not worth $45 but the
fact that there is also a poly overcovering
that keeps the part free of "shelf scratches"
and also keeps the parts in a controlled
atmosphere that helps delay oxidation and
the corrosion quite common on gold plated parts.
a scratch free part is worth more than a scratched part. the original packaging assures that these are genuine ibanez parts, not a copy
part that might not fit. it's your choice to decide the quality and originality that you want on your vintage ibanez guitar.

I didnt mean to put you down Orval...

But I dont doubt for a second that Gotoh makes good quality parts. It is a quality manufacturer, and for me...the only difference would be that "Ibanez" isnt ingraved underneath the bridge.
My experience with Gotoh is that they make quality replacement parts...

And in the end...I always keep my original parts.

Does anyone have a link (if there is one) to Gotoh's full parts catalog? Also, can you buy direct from them online? Any further info on looking up and/or ordering compatible replacement parts would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Fred

I would only use that as a guide..

In Australia. The distributors for gototh will order almost everything gotoh make...

For some reason Gotoh parts in Australia are alot cheaper than they are in the US.. A replacement gotoh LP style bridge will set you bakc around $60 AUD thats $30 USD WD musicproducts sell the same bridge $50 USD go figure...

for the harmonomatice nashville bridge listing go to:

Hey that works, thanks

Good to know if their Nashville wide bridge fits, the wide Gibson bridges aren't the same size as the ones on the earliest Artists.

Hey Gang,

You might wanna browse these 2 sites (Allparts & WD Music). They've got buttloads of hardware.

Does anyone know of a site which can restore the gold plate on original hardware?

I have had all the hardware on several of my guitars replated by Avenue Silver Plating in Redwood City, CA. The phone number is 650-369-5678 (ask for Les). The parts came out beautiful and I thought the price was reasonable. I dissassembled all parts completely prior to bringing to shop.
