Guys,

I spent part of my weekend strolling through the NAMM SHOW (National Association of Music Merchants) looking at lots and lots of New Musicial Instruments, Amps, & Hardware.
I also met a lot of cool people as well as ran into old friends.

I would like to share with you all via photos a little of what you might would see during NAMM weekend!

Hi Blues,

Nice pics.

One thing that attracted me to the Ibanez brand all those years ago was the price. I think you call it “Bang for Bucks” over there in the U.S. – or something like that. In other words you bought in to top workmanship for around half the price Gibson knocked them out for.

Seems like these days Ibanez are asking just as much as PRS and Gibson for an Artist or a Semi. I appreciate times have changed and material/labour costs more, but do we think that Ibanez (which internally is probably a different company now) have earned enough Kudos to price up as much as the big boys?

Anyway, it looks like you had a fun time at the show. I've always fancied a trip to that one. Were any famous names performing/demonstrating this year?

We used to have a good trade show in London years ago but I haven't had the opportunity to get along to anything like that recently.

Things have changed since the time I first started collecting Ibanez guitars.
Ibanez List Prices have increased a bit but along with the increase Ibanez has maintained a High level of craftsmanship and quality for both the collector and the player.

Ibanez has released a new line of archtop and semi-hollow guitars called the "ARTCORE Series" with List prices ranging from as low as $399.00 to $459.00 to help capture the low end market. This new line looks pretty good.

Peace,

Harold:

What do think of the JSM100? Did you notice the compound radius fretboard? Is it really that different from an AS200?

John,

I did not have enough time to really examine the JSM. As I give it some thought the neck on the JSM did feel better.
The JSM felt great as did the GB10's and GB5 guitars. I believe IBANEZ has put a lot of quality and love into these guitars.
