I would love to get a Black Beauty LP copy. Which would be the best copy for me sound quality? Ibanez, Greco or Tokai?? Thanks to all who reply. |

I think the materials and build quality are of importance. Greco and Ibanez guitars were made at the same factory (Fujigen) while Tokai is a factory by itself. Every manufacturer has better speced models and lesser speced ones. I trust the build quality of 70's and 80's japanese guitars. I think you won't go wrong with any of them. Just remember that everything you buy you can also sell, so try and you'll eventually get lucky. |

Grecos, Edwards, Burnys all come to mind - best you ask over at the Tokai Registry, those guys are fanatics... An old Burny or Greco might sell a little cheaper because a lot of people don't know them as well as the Tokai brand... Yet conversely the Greco or Edwards or Burnys might be a little harder to move if you tire of it and sell. Many guitars were made of sandwich construction (like the Custom Agents) so try to locate a single piece body, long neck tendon model with solid top (whether it has flame or not). http://www.tokaiforum.com/index.php?sid=0e203b80a5 7a7adb846ed55a3c2f35ac |
