Ebay Item #280164553653 THANKS, EDDIE! You've inspired thousands of punks to take a chain saw to their vintage guitars, and adorn them with schnitt from a hardware store. (Ummmmmm, geaz, I think I did that kinda crap 20 years ago). I apologize to the God of Rock n Roll. DHC |

Even EVH admitted he ruined his Destroyer but chopping the body--took all the sustain out of it. Tonedef |

Hey I used to get at the Who when they would smash their instruments...I'm playing a $20 Silvertone with a U-shaped neck & strings like baling wire, & these guys are destroying 1000's of dollars worth of great instruments like they were garbage. |

Paul Stanley of Kiss got into the smashing guitar thing in the late 1970's. He'd play his pristine Iceman through the whole show, then, during the encore, literally half-way through the song, he'd go offstage and then come back with a Gibson Marauder instead of the Iceman. He'd strum it a couple times, then smash that. A friend of mine once got one of the tuning pegs from one of those marauders. |
