I'm gonna try posting this in this area, as it didnt get any replies in the Miscellaneous section. Will also try to sort out some pics ASAP. I've searched on here and found bits and bobs about JASON guitars, notably that they were the brand name used to market Ibanez guitars in Australia. In my collection i have a black strat and i gotta say the tone and playability is absolutely superb. I expected it to be like a Squier or similar, but nope. I'm wondering if anyone has any more info since the last posts on the subject... i saw one from the Captain saying they were made in the Tama factory end of the 50s and 60s, but mine must be later. Any other owners out there? Any good way of dating it, or identifying which Ibanez it would be equivalent to? The name on the headstock isnt exactly everyone's cup of tea, but keep your eyes peeled for these guys. |
