Today, I got me this ES-335 model, (but true hollow) Greco SA-550, Fujigengakki S/N 17662##. Been searching for specs, but I'm afraid my japanese ain't good enough . Seems like Super 70's, 3-piece set neck, open book headstock with MOP Greco logo and G*bson crown, Solid maple top. Can anyone give me more info? |

The serial number probably starts with an "I" (signifying September), so the guitar was made in September of 1976. Here's a page from a 1977 Greco catalog. The SA550 is shown. Unfortunately, the text is in Japanese, but at least you have a catalog shot. http://psyco.jp/greco/c06_05.html This is a great Greco catalog site. Petruz, no. The only Cimar catalogs I know of are off the Russian Ibanez site (I don't have the link with me at work) and I think there may be one or two at the Musik-Meinle.de site. -Chuck |

I just got an Ibanez 2454 off of eBay. It appears to be the same as your Greco. |

Allmost, Acetan. Your 2454 appears to be the equivalent of the Greco SA-500. Check this link to Greco catalogue (thanks, Chuck!). http://psyco.jp/greco/c04_08.html Kees. |

Hmm... The head stock in-laids, the neck in-laids, position of the three way switch, the pick guard... but then there is the different tail piece. Well, whatever. |
