The pic is from July 27 1975. This guitar is a full hollow with a bolt on neck. That should do it. I use Corel Photo House, which was part of Corel WordPerfect Suite 8. When I got this, the seller had just thrown it into a new Epiphone case and , by the time I recieved it, the neck had broken clean off the guitar because the case did not properly support the neck. Got into a major row with the seller and eventually had to sick Paypal on him. I got a refund and a brokne guitar-which I am in the process of repairing. The guitar has the exact same "toaster" pickups. There wasn't any picture visible the first time I looked. I think you were still uploading. Did you have all this heavy equipment with 15" speakers when you were a youth? Man, I had an Ariana classical guitar with a laminated top and that was it. I think I got my second one in 1976-77 (Aria AC-20 solid cedar top). I remember my cousin got some acoustic jazz box as a gift, and told me he was going to make it electric. His dad was an engineer at the Philips computer centre, so he knew what he was talking about. And I had no idea about the possibilities and thought he'd gone nuts. To me his whole plan was as impossible as a sex change operation was in those days. I wonder what became of that guitar. The left amp was my bass players Traynor with 2 15 inch speakers. That guitar was the one I learned my first song on. it was bought in 1973. It just so happens that it was lifted from a local school when a few my mates decided to break in and ransack the place. That was all I had at the time! I think MOST of those old "Bogus" amps came from similar sources... also the big EV horns that lots of us used for PA, that came off of the outside walls of schools. I didn't read all the submissions, but as I understand it, Ventura guitars were made at the Matsumoku factory, makers of Electra, Univox, Aria, Westone & others, & have no connection to Ibanez. I also own a Ventura 335 copy, nice old guitar, but in my reasearch, I found "uncle Matt" as the maker. I also have a 1977 Ibanez LP copy...beat up, battlescarred old girl....but a beautiful neck & killer tone...those super 70 pickups just scream! I recently purchased another LP copy, branded MANN. As I understand it, they were made by Ibanez for the Canadian market...can anyone verify this? I haven't been able to look at the innerds yet, that may shed some light.
