greetings everyone, I know that we all love to tinker with our guitars, some more than others. from simple adjustments to full overhauls. SO, just what kind of tools do we use on the bench? 1. Screwdrivers 2. wrenches and sockets 3. vise 4. solder and iron 5. cleaners and waxes Ok, I got this started, please help those of us who need a hand in getting our benches up to speed. bob |

I have several thousands of dollars of woodworking equipment, I own and operate a cabinet/furniture shop. Someday, when I have some 'extra' time, I plan on building an electric guitar. |

I'll only mention one thing which some might not know of. JB-Weld. No, I wouldn't glue a Martin's neck back on with it, but for many small jobs & especially with metal parts, JB-Weld is unmatched. It's a 2-part epoxy that can be machined, drilled & tapped etc. once dry. I once used it to fix a cracked engine block in Alaska, and then drove the truck all the way back to Calif. Try that with Elmers! |
