That must have taken a while to do that 12 string. Still you can never have "too much" inlay now can you. Cappy |

Funny cause I was wondering if it was the same guy that Bob and Dave dealt with. The quality was 'changeable' so I'm led to believe. If you check back through his feedback it appears the same guitar has been photographed for several different auctions. So, does this mean that you won't be getting the guitar as pictured but something...'close'? Gotta say the Tele's look very nice. six |

The quality runs the gambit. I have purchased several of these that are unreal. The bolt necks come with Washburn custome neck plates and Fender logo tuners...Both the inlay quality and design is now very good as compared to several years ago when it was basically dragons and chinese themes. |

Jchester, I was thinking the same... Some items are located in Taiwan others in Vietnam, but the "City" is Tainan every time. I don't know if there are indeed TWO cities called Tainan... But if there's a misunderstanding about the country, I can understand that Dave_G had to wait such a long time... Ginger |

I know of three of these guys: Antoniosai, Bruceweiart, and Taisamliu. I have a tele from the latter, and the neck pocket was routed crooked, so the neck was on crooked (pointing south a bit). I had to chisel out the neck pocket and reposition the bridge. I'm not a luthier so it was somewhat of a hack job, but it's now straight and plays well. For all of these guys, I think the verdict is that the electronics suck. Still, Antoniosai has some neck-through constructions that look pretty nice. I recommend you look at the photos very carefully, because you can see routing errors and positioning errors pretty plainly. Don't bid on those. I'm keeping my eye on Antoniosai because he has some cherry burst hollow bodies from time to time, and when he does one without a dragon or sword, I might get one. |

Also, don't pay list. They put a lot of these on straight auction and you can pick one up for less than $200 (sometimes less than $100) which makes paying the $125 shipping fee a little less painful. |

Wound up getting my 2 for $70 ea. and... be prepared to make "adjustments" to these guitars if you buy one. Mostly, worry about the necks, the overspray on the finish and even the quality of the laquer work, it could be alredy lifting off the axe in places when it arrives. The cases they come in are TOTAL 100% garbage, they don't fit the guitars at all, plan on finding one that fits. I don't think Wei and Tsai are affiliated. After a decent investment (post-purchase) however, I wound up with 2 killer axes. I gutted one and replaced it with Gibson LP guts. So.... that's what I did. Both necks were horrifying upon arrival, actually unplayable. |

in the immortal words of Bob Weir... "Let's go for the full cowboy fancy" I imagine some of these get nailed to the walls of the likes of Hard Rock Cafe, etc... Definite form vs. function tradeoff here (in the name of art, I'd say). Bob, that's a great idea. Do you actually play the thing? |

Hey, we could get them to create Artist/Cowboy/Agent knockoffs with the exact vines and other inlays, then we could import them via eBay into the US... Then Hoshino could start a LAWSUIT to stop us, and the stock we did manage to get out first would then be LAWSUIT LAWSUIT collector guitars!!! Oh, the irony. ;-) |
