OK, i have some star tuners on my ibanez 2454 thin line hollowbody 330 type, im not impressed with these tuners, probably just old and tired, 1976, does anyone know of a drop in tuning machine, id hate to have extra holes on this tone dream machine, thanks , jazzzz |

If your star tuners are the two screw type, get ahold of Bobzilla. He's been looking for some. I have some Greco tuners, off a 1975-ish LP copy, but they are probably not any better than the star tuners you have on there now. Mine are also the two-screw type (one screw above, one below). |

Jazz, I used a set of Gotoh with the single screw hole underneath on one of my LP's. But you still gotta look at one empty screw hole, but no drilling extras. |

Here's a pic of my Greco tuners. I have them 3x3, with the mounting screws too. As I said, they won't be any better, probably, than the star tuners.

easy fix! Just buy the gotoh straight down screw tuners and have someone fabricate the bit that extends above! probably cost you about $20 to have these little plates made up..Then you could use the 510 gotohs without ant sightly holes |
