Author Message   Chucke99 Username: Chucke99 Registered: 2-2007 Posted on Thursday, June 07, 2007 - 8:38 pm:    You may know him in his post-Scorpions incarnation of "Uli Jon Roth" but I wanted to extole the virtues of his solo artistry while he was in the Scorpions. Sure, he could shred, and was one of the early adopters of faster-than-lightning playing (Speedy's Coming, Sails of Charon) but he could also sing and cry with his guitar. He's a major influence on me with songs such as Drifting Sun, In Trance, Crying Days, and really, just about anything off of Virgin Killer. Mate of mine back in the UK (Steve Heath) had him off to a "t". Right down to the huge whammy bar on his strat. Very cool. six
