A friend came over the other day.He has a storied past, and knew alot of the rock greats back in the late 60's--Neil Young,Led Zep etc. He's a big guitar gear head-had all the classic F---r and G---n over the years. I wasn't home, but my wife let him open afew of my guitar cases(!) to see my Ibanez collection-prolines, am205's,am-255,as200,RS 1400,Blazer 1025,Talman TC-825,SA-400.Apparently, all he could say is "what, more crap?" with each case he opened. If it's not a US name brand, it's no good, according to him. Does that mean that all my playing, enjoying and collecting of Ibanez'amazing quality beautiful guitars-all of which I prefer to the 'name brands'-has been madness, shear MADNESS???????!!!???? |

Nah he's just another closed minded person. Has he played these guitars? |

Shel~ Next time your friend visits you, tell him you just scored a bunch of vintage USA made guitars, and want him to check them out...BLINDFOLDED! Then put each of your Ibanez gits in his hands to play a bit. See if he still considers them 'crap'. Tim |

Hey Tim...Its ok...the last thing we need at this point is ANOTHER collector ! SHHHHHHHHHHH I'd prefer to keep vintage Ibanez a secret as long as we can, and keep more goodies for ourselves. Believe me all those "Gibner" or "Fenson" fans will come around soon enough.. I usually wait intil I get to plug in my Artist and have the ringing highs cut right thru the Gibbo muddy sound before I start braggin ! |

A guy who has a "guitar workshop" said that a friend of mine should sell all his Yamaha, Ibanez and Aria jazzboxes and should buy an genuine L-5. Try to sell these at a good price. I know a guy who tried for more than two years to find a buyer for a Super V. That's really difficult. Your money is really stuck then. Ginger |
