Greetings fellow Ibaneezr's, great to be back after a firey summer, sadly I must inform owners of Universe Models from the early Nineties.After discussions with Hoshino this week at the request of a customer that had his headstock snapped off after someone stepped on his Universe Swirl that was signed by Steve Vai, that the old style necks are no longer available from Japan.The one in question was the all maple one with the dissappearing pryamids,so if you have dramas with twists or clumsy friends,its up to a good luthier to save the day no matter what the cost,this will apply to the old Jem necks as well.In other gossip from Hoshino, J.D.'s book should be ready by April-May this year. |
