If this is a firewall problem then it could be something software-based or built into the DSL router/modem. But it's not normal to have a residential DSL installation set to refuse to upload files. Several times I´ve posted picts here with no hassle what-so-ever.. And this is not the only address I´ve encountered some difficulties, trying to move data.. Maybe a disturbance in the Force?? I ask because I use a combination hub/firewall (hardware) with a DSL hookup for my home network. I haven't had any of these kind of problems. I also dumped Internet Explorer in favor of Mozilla Firefox a few months ago. I got tired of the constant maintenance even WITH Norton running. Fox: Nice collection of doublecutaways. Is that an SG2000? Steve: From my experience Mozilla/Firefox is still susceptible to malware, spyware, adware, etc. Not quite as welcoming as IE is to outright attacks. I run AntiVir and Ad-Aware to combat all these trouble makers. Much better than trusting Norton's products, which caused more problems than they cured. However, Firefox allows you turn off functions that give malicious code easy access to the system. IE is integral with the OS and cannot be configured in that manner. FYI, Ad-Aware installs it's own spy/adware. I had a helluva time removing it. And what comes to the main problem here, I still don´t know what is the reason Norton´s firewall started to be so picky ´bout data uploads..But it seems to work when shut off. Mr.Roadstar, sometimes some tasks demand lots o´time and effort..And removal of Ad-Aware is surely one of them..
