My stage guitar is my trusty and beautiful '83' AM-255. My backup is my mint '87' AM-205. I still have my '82' AS-50 that started me on my love affair with the small, semi hollow bodies from Ibanez. I purchased the guitar in question a long long time ago. It's in near mint condition and I've never seen one before. My family has moved into a house that still has central air, but no vent in my studio. I'm worried I won't be able to maintain these older instruments in the same condition that I was able to before. I'm going to sell this Musician series. In exchange for your help I will be happy to give you first option. I don't have any knowledge of this guitar other than what I've learned here on this website. It's different from the ones I've seen so far. It has the extra 6 position switch, but not the eq knobs. The switch performs similar to the Lucille switching on BB Kings guitar. This is all I know so far. I will try to keep updating. At the moment there is one Musician MC350 with non-original potmeter knobs on eBay with a BIN price of $750.- I think your MC300 is MUCH better. (Condition certainly (9-10). Perhaps you should think of the two top prices in the list and add 20% or so. That would be $1080-1320, so roughly estimated $1100-1400. In euros: divide by 1.36 so that would make 800-1000 euros ex shipping and tax. That's MY estimate, but the vintage market is hard to predict. A statistical tool with some correction helps a little, that is IF it's in the database. I spent 3 years at Hickam, as a kid, in the late 50s. You have no idea how much I envy you. As an Air Force brat, I eventually wound up in Virginia Beach, but my best memories are of Hawaii. As much as I hate to burst your bubble... ICW is pretty much based in New Jersey. That MC-300 of yours is a beauty! I love those 6-way switches & 'chickenhead' knobs (like on my 2451nt/L6S copy) and the neck-through build. I'd love to take a shot at her, but I'm already a bit overextended with a restoration project, on a 2681 Weir. Good luck & my condolances on selling her. I can certainly see wanting to restore one. Thank you for the compliment on my guitar. I'm very meticulous about my instruments. My wife was a military brat as well. Born in Ewa beach, Oahu. Maui is a beautiful place to live. You have to make a few mental and financial adjustments to be here. But I can't imagine being anywhere else. It is hard on your stage gear, but if you keep your collection guitars indoors with air conditioning you can take very good care of them. Thanks for the heads up about New Jersey, some of the info I've gathered here has come from Europe. The catalog link that Yurgi sent me for '80' was in German, and Euro's get's mentioned alot. When I post this for sale I think I need to make it worldwide so as not to leave anyone out. What do you think? But the board members are an international group. Wherever you find Ibanez guitars, we have members. It looks like you're getting a range of pricing from the various threads that you've started. My suggestion is to take offers (in US dollars) and sell it to the highest bidder, with the stipulation that all shipping, taxes and duties are the responsibility of the buyer. Just make sure that you get your money guaranteed (credit card or Paypal are pretty immediate and give both parties some measure of safety.) There are nearly 3700 registered members of ICW, but there are over 20,000 unique visitors to the board in any given month. So, you never know who will respond to your ad. BTW, I've been to Oahu, the Big Island, Kauai and Maui. It's been a few years since I was there last, but Maui is my favorite for an all-purpose, fun time. A good mix of beauty, places to find solitude and still able to find most of the comforts of the busy mainland. Snorkeling is outrageous anywhere! Have you ever seen George Benson? I play at the Hyatt 3 nights a week and he was there just a few weeks ago. Also Carlos Santana has a place here and can be spotted now and then. Thank you for the advice. I don't think I would sell the guitar for less than $1500.00. It's far too fine an instrument. It isn't perfect, but it's close. I've cared for it so long it's like one of my kids. But we'll see what happens. Maui is a beautiful place. I first came here 25 years ago. I went on a 2 day to each island and felt just like you did. It was the perfect balance. I spent a fortune coming on vacation for about 5 years 2 or 3 times a year. Then one day I finally said. "What the heck why not just live where you want to!?" So I came and have never been sorry. Thank you for this wonderful website. What an asset to Ibanez collectors. When your on an island in the middle of the ocean you don't realize how many other people have the same interests as you do. As JohnS said, although NJ is where he & the server live, we have a hugely diverse membership from all over the planet. Beyond coast-to-coast coverage of the US mainland, there are members from Holland, Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Canada, South Africa, the UK & a bunch of home-grown & transplanted Aussies. I'm sure I've left some out, but I'm also sure they'll holler, if they feel slighted.
