I saw a pic in the previous thread of the inlaid guitar you bought. What a beauty! Has it arrived yet and can you give your opinions of it? Thank you, Jim |

Jim...The guitar arrived within a week, as soon as I got it-it went to the shop to get the guts replaced. The guitar is very well made, but the electronics were strictly chinese-small size 500k pots, cheezy wiring, toy selector switch-I wasn't really expecting much more. The inlay work is AMAZING ! I cannot imagine how many weeks it took to get this done ! The MOP and ABLONE inlays are clean cut and tightly inlaid. The fretboard is clean and tight, although the frets are kinda thin. If you have ever seen a Jay Turser guitar, the fit and feel is a lot like their better quality offerings. Anyway I should get the guitar back Wednesday with the '68 PAF's with new gold covers (from a '68 SG) and a complete wiring harness from a '78 Musician (found on EBay). I'll Post picts then. |
