Chips ,my only suggestion would be to see if a generic brand will fit the machine head, otherwise keep a eye on Ebay and see if a set of machine heads come up for grabs or you might want to replace the whole set with a set of Ibanez machine heads that are used on the AR3000 Artist. The part number for them is MB506G. These are gold and have the pearl buttons on the ends. You can order these through your nearest Ibanez dealer using the part number I have given you. Thanks for the help there..I'm not really encountering major detuning problems..I'd just like to look after my new purchase well....This will also include getting a replacement rubber gromit and pup switch (seems the plastic bobbin breaks off a lot on Artists from what I've seen--worrying thing is that general stock replacements don't work as they won't allow switch to be in any position other than the middle.....weird)...Oh yeah, and I put gold pup covers I had lying around over the V2' might just be me..but it's SUCH a pretty guitar and open WHITE plastic humbucker bobbins kinda don't look right to my eyes....anyway I digress..thanks for the part number I'll make a note of it now..as for my nearest Ibanez dealer....well Haven't found one yet in Bangkok and can't find a list of them for Thailand...betcha it's in Chinatown somewhere.... P.S. The previous idiot owner put a hole in the back to replace strap button..can you recommend how I might repair this...Not mega-important again but I hate to see guiatrs mistreated....unless they're Kahler fitted strats of course... |
