I want to locate an (original)Ibanez case that would suit my guitar, also some gold engraved pickup covers. Is it possible to get a nos bridge and stop piece, most of the gold plate is worn off of mine. Also what sort of toggle switch is a suitable replacement? The pickup covers, by themselves would be extremely hard to find...but a miracle could happen. More likely to find the Super 80s complete, and replace everything. Gotta scour the classifieds on all the regular guitar and gear sites, as well as troll ebay constantly. NOS bridges and tailpieces surface around here and ebay a lot more often, but everybody is looking for them, so they go fast and they aren't cheap. The real problem is identifying what year and parts you have. They used several different series of parts on Weirs from '75 to 80(?) The later the year of manufacture, the better chance of finding NOS parts. Considering the time, effort and money it would take to find all the hardware to restore a 2681, replating all your original parts is often a very viable solution. Do a search on "replating" to find messages where this is discussed on the board. In all the years that I've run this board, no one has ever been concerned about toggle switch replacements. Knobs, cavity covers, pickguards, truss rod covers, etc. all get plenty of talk time and attention. But never the toggle switches! This is the part number Ibanez uses for that particular switch, which can order through your nearest Ibanez dealer. My TOL Weir is dated April 77, and the remaining pup cover is so worn you can't tell what was engraved on it. The "toggle switch thing" was to match the plastic cover on the end of the shaft. The case is being used to store an LP in it but I will talk to hime about selling the case and buying a proper one to fit the LP (beacuse of the case he has broken the headstock..
