They are designed for a high treble responce and extra output. I would be inclinded to leave it alone or if you feel the need to change it..but I don't know why..but each to his own, then check out the specs at the Dimarzio website or likewise at the Seymour Duncan website. The reason I say leave it alone is that this is just one of the signature features of this particular model guitar..and SA's rock ! Not that this is bad, It's just not what I was expecting in a bucker equipped mahogany guitar. It was more in strat territory - delightful funky inbetween sounds. Putting in a more a more midrangey bridge pickup could really change the character of this guitar.
