Hey Captain, I read in the Untold Story that Prestige guitars have digitized necks. In other words they are CNC machined copies of hand carved necks, like on the Blazer21. I've also heard there are more hand finishing steps that go into a prestige neck. All I know is that they feel better, and I don't know why. Do you know the scoop on this? Are there specific added steps that go into making every prestige guitar? Or does it differ by model? -Sven |

Sven, even though they are cut on CNC's, the beauty of the necks is the hand sanded finishing. Each Prestige model receives multiple hand sandings and also multiple body/headstock finish polishing as well. This is why they are such a beauty to behold as soon as you unbox them. For obvious reasons I am not able to say exactly how many times All Prestige models regardless of factory a done to these guidelines. Captain Ibanez |
