Hey gang it's been a while since ya Cappy has graced his page, so now I'm here for a little while, I want you to see this months "SHOCKER" Seems the person who once owned this Ibanez 2375ASH, got a little creative and turned a classic into this. Now don't ask me where he got the neck from, cause this baby is scalloped from the 1st fret to the last..go figure? and its a lefty, EMG's put in upside down? ..fair enough... nice timber used in the pickguard ,but a Kahler trem hanging off the back trying to be a Reb Beach RB10 when it grows up!...Sorry guys but this one defies logic, but what ever floats ya boat I guess...your thoughts ? Personally , this one fits the Ripley's Beleive It Or Not area Captain Ibanez

Captain: As a piece of sculpture it doesn't repulse me. In fact, there are aspects of it that are pretty cool. The person who designed the shape has a good eye for curves. As a working guitar, it doesn't look too practical. Maybe George Lucas can use it in the next Star Wars bar scene? |

i would not under any circumstances let that thing anywhere near my crotch. but it would make an excellent hood ornament on a romulan wessel ... sorry, vessel. |

Well, at least it's not pretending to be an Ibanez anymore. This axe might as well have been made from scratch. I think it's kind of cool looking. Although, I think the closed circle would've been cooler if left pointy and open... And, definitely have to agree with blondax -- that thing smells of pending impalement. |

Actually, I think it's pretty cool looking. I just wish he had sold me the 2375ASH *before* he butchered it. I would have given him a brand new Strat he could have cut up instead. |

i'm an idiot! it's a lefty, and i was looking at it upside down. properly perceived it does have a somewhat elegant vibe in a 'if-that's-your-thing' kind of way. and somebody has certainly got some woodcarving chops. but i'm with peterdryan - couldn't the artist have found a lesser canvas to work from? cheers. :~) |
