Can someone tell me how to be able to identify the differences between guitars in the Artist AR series please? Is it in fact a simple task? I thought the 70-80's Artists were AR100, AR200, AR300. The AR300 being the top of the range. To make things more complex, there are models with preamps in them, different pickup switches on the body and ones that seem to use a push/pull switch on the volume or tone control for out of phase or different pickup selection. So I'm a little confused and some expert help would be appreciated Ron |

Ron, the best thing you can do is have a look at Rich Harris's Ibanez Rules website. www.ibanezrules.com There you will find a wealth of catalogue scans with most of the Artists there. Just click on the Resources section and then when that opens up you will see the catalogue library. Then you can spend some good quality time bring yourself up to scratch with all the info you are looking for. Keep On Rockin' Captain Ibanez |

Very interesting link. Check out the 1995/96 AR-300 & RAR-300 links. They appear to be the nice-looking MIJ reissues talked about recently. Some even have Super 80 pickups. mk |
