ZR trem problem

I had the arm socket break on mine, and there was a recent report of the pivot breaking on one recently. I think there are some design faults with this bridge. I would try to contact someone at Ibanez and see if they can do anything for you. You may want to email Captain Ibanez. He's in Australia, but he may be able to put you in touch with the right person. Captainibanez Username: Captainibanez Registered: 01-2004 Posted on Thursday, February 16, 2006 - 5:32 am:    Funkle, I will agree that the early ZR trems 2003 builds, did have a slight problem with the arm holder breaking. I might add that Ibanez was made aware of this issue by me. I would also add that I have only ever changed in a period from 2003 to present only 6 of these arm holders, so I think in relation to the amount of S series guitars we have bought to Australia..and we have bought in a lot of units ! that overall the problem is very minor. Still it was something that I bought to H/O attention. From where I stand as far as warranty goes on this, if the guitar was say 14 months old, I would be prepaired to change the part for a customer at no charge. Why, cause thats only fair in my view,if it was older than that, then I would charge for the part ($9.95 RRP), but not the labour , it's only a 10 minute job to change it . For me its product satisfaction, I wonder how many other brands would be prepaired to follow Cappy's lead. BTW, it's not a design fault as such, but it is open to gross acts of bofoonerism from people who can't help but muck around with their guitars, I know, I have seen it before with this model.
