Captain and others- I have an Ibanez Blazer21 model BL850 H-S-H configuration. I have heard from some on places like Harmony Central that the body is made from Alder and I have heard it is made of Ash. Can anyone tell me what the body is made out of? And if it is made of Ash instead of Alder- are they talking about Swamp Ash or northern Hard Ash? Thanks everyone! |

A1kindaguy: Welcome to ICW. Can you give us the serial number, so we can narrow down the year the guitar was made? |

Oh actually I just found it. Thanks It was made in 1997 and I looked in an old Ibanez catalog from that year and it said they were made of Alder. Weird- must have been a nice piece of Alder because it struck me as kinda heavy- which is why I thought it was Ash and it was very bright- which I like because it sounded beautiful in the high registers. |
